Provider Scheduler, Epic 1

The affiliate provider view of the WPO Provider Platform, built on TELUS CDS from the v2 boxes on the Provider Scheduler Ideation board. Nineteen screens, walkable end to end. Two independent design reviews have been run over it and their findings are applied.

Screens

Every screen carries the same shell: a collapsible left rail that remembers whether it is open, the three Home tabs, and the notification bell. Nothing here is a dead end. What each screen carries in full is in Screen Notes.

Dashboard

My Availability

The second section of the set, built from the My Availability V2 box (board section 172:1502). Reached from My Availability in the left rail on every screen. It is a schedule list plus a five-step wizard for creating one; the wizard walks forwards and backwards from any step.

Questions For Bryan

What is left for you to settle, in one place. Each one is a decision rather than a build: none of them blocks the review, and each is a small change once it is settled. Five others have been answered and built since the last pass; they are listed under Answered In This Pass.

Are limits, buffers and booking options per schedule or per account 317:392

The schedule panel on screen 11 shows them per schedule and now says so plainly. If they belong to the account they should move out of the panel and into Preferences, with the panel linking to them, which is a different screen rather than a different sentence.

How wide is the object model, and what is each part called

A provider is dealing with schedules, session types, weekly hours, date-specific hours and time off, and the relationship between them is only ever stated in helper text. If there is a canonical set of nouns on the platform side, this section should use it. If there is not, this is the moment to fix one, because every screen in both sections repeats these words.

Should the wizard stop at step 3 when step 2 produced no hours screens 13 to 16

The layout half of this is closed: step 3 now opens with a read-only summary of the hours step 2 produced, and carries a notice in its place when there are none. What is left is a product rule. Navigation is deliberately left ungated, so a provider can set caps first and hours after. If a schedule with no hours should never reach step 3 at all, that is a rule about the object rather than about this screen, and it changes the wizard everywhere rather than just here.

Answered In This Pass

Five items that used to sit on the list above are now built into the screens. Each is reversible in one change. The first is the only one that proposes a rule rather than applying one you had already given, so it is marked as a proposal and needs your yes or no.

Proposed: the narrower schedule takes a shared hour 316:375

A shared hour goes to the narrower schedule, so 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Mon, Wed and Fri belongs to Short-notice hours (Mon, Wed, Fri) rather than Weekday hours (Mon to Fri), and the remaining shared afternoons go to Spring hours (Mon to Fri) once it is published. The three warnings, on screens 10, 18 and 19, name the clash and the winner in two sentences; the full tie-break order behind it sits in the design record rather than on the screens. This is a proposal, not a decision taken for you: say no and the warnings go back to naming the clash and stopping, which is one paragraph on three screens.

Copying one day's hours across other days screens 13 and 11

Built. Every day that is on carries Copy To Other Days, which opens a picker of the other six days; Apply writes that day's ranges onto every day ticked, replacing what those days held, turns on any day that was unavailable, and says in the status region which days changed. It is on the weekly hours step and on the schedule panel's day list, which are the two places the same editor appears.

Schedule Type is now Recurrence screen 14

The fieldset on the Date-Specific tab reads Recurrence, with One-Time and Recurring unchanged. If Schedule Type is the platform's own word, say so and it goes back.

The 3px rule on a schedule card is gone 242:246

The Live or Draft badge beside the name is now the only signal of publish state, on screens 10, 11 and 19. The brand rule that marks the schedule the panel is reading on screen 11 stays, because selection is a different fact from publish state and still needs a marker on the list.

Get Help is on all ten availability screens 370:4619

The same link and note the dashboard closes with now closes screens 10 to 19, in the same place on each. It is still the inert link it is on the dashboard.

Names, dates, case numbers, availability, authorisation counts, contact details and message copy are illustrative sample data. Case numbers run on an invented 11804xx series, one per session; the board's sample number 123456 was replaced in the session drawers so a session carries the same number in the list and in the drawer. In My Availability the three schedule names, their hours, the draft, the session-type languages, the buffer and break lengths and the repeat options are sample data too; the two capacity caps, the four session types with their lengths, and the blocked window come from the board.
